Linux continues to become more amazing

I’ve been using Mandrake for several years now and have always been impressed with its ease of use and configuration. Lately though I’ve been wanting to do more with my Linux box than just everyday computing. I want to write programs similar in fashion to what I used to write on Windows. A complete Gui with a database back end. So I began looking at Mono/Monodevelop and decided to learn C#. It’s been going pretty good I must say. I’ll be using MySQL as my database back end. The real advantage is going to be the ability to develop cross-platform applications with a true network database server. I think I’m really going to enjoy this.
